The initial procedure takes approximately 2-2,5 hours.

The appointment includes brow shaping, customized colour matching and micro pigmentation. The first half of the appointment is the consultative component of the procedure and the second half is the pigmenting the skin itself.

After 6 weeks you will come back for your second appointment, which is included in the price, to adjust the color, shape and add some layering to your brows.

• If you have an ideal shape and color in mind, bring a few reference photos with you to your appointment.

• Please come in wearing your normal brow make-up so we know what you like.

• Do not shape, wax, thread or tint your eyebrows within three days of your appointment. We can remove any stray hairs that fall outside of our final shape.

• Remove contact lenses before the procedure. You may put them back in immediately after.

• Do not drink alcohol or excessive caffeine 24 hrs before and 24 hrs after your treatment. Both alcohol and caffeine are blood thinners and can result in poor pigment retention. 

• Do not book any major events (wedding, vacation, social event) during the 2 weeks after procedure, a little peeling or flaking will occur. 

• Avoid facials, chemical peels, or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks prior to appointment and 2 weeks following procedure. 

• Absolutely no anti-aging or anti-acne products on or around procedure area for two weeks prior to your appointment as they contain active ingredients that should be avoided pre + post procedure. 

• The procedure area must be free of all irritations including ingrown hairs, rashes, blemishes, eczema, psoriasis ect.

• Avoid sweating, sun, gardening, any recreational swimming, pools, hot tubs, tanning booths and all creams around brow area for a week after procedure. Please plan accordingly. 

• Avoid supplements with blood thinning effects. Supplements that have blood thinning effects include dong quai, fish oil, garlic, ginger, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, green tea, red clover and vitamin E, and should be discontinued 7 days prior to getting a cosmetic tattoo. These supplements may increase bleeding, resulting in poor pigment retention. 

• Avoid any blood thinning medications. A number of medications make your blood less likely to clot (“thinner”) like aspirin, Midol, Exedrin, and NSAIDs ( Advil, Motrin, Naproxen, Aleve). These medications should be discontinued 7 days prior and 1 day following your appointment. If you need to take something for pain opt for Tylenol (acetaminophen). Coumadin and Plavix also have blood thinning effects but it is not recommended to discontinue them due to their medical necessity. You should be aware of an increased risk of bruising if you’re taking them.

Today

• Pat dry with a clean dry paper towel. Do not touch with unwashed hands.

• try to keep the area dry for 2 days

Day 2 and after

• Apply a very small amount of the after-care cream.

• The after-care cream should be barely noticeable on the skin. Less is more. Never put the ointment on a wet or damp tattoo.

• Use a fresh pillowcase

• No makeup for 7 days.

• Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away. Picking can cause scarring or loss of color.

• Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for 5 days

• Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 1 week after procedure. Wear a hat when outdoors. Avoid heavy sweating and long hot showers for the first 5 days.

• No facials, botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.

• no eye cream with vitamin A/retinol or acids.

• DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area.

Apply a good sunscreen daily after healing to help keep color true.

As with any tattoo, sun exposure will make the color soften faster.

Skin type, lifestyle, pigment color used, and broken capillaries are other factors.

When planning a chemical peel, laser treatment or other medical procedure, inform the technician of your tattoo.

No down time is required after the procedure. It takes approximately 10-14 days for the brows to heal over, and about 1 month for the color to fully set in.

After your appointment, your brows will appear darker than desired for the first few days, however the color will fade about 20-30% as it heals.

You may experience some scabbing or flaking accompanied by an itchy feeling. It is important not to pick at the scabs as this may damage the skin and the outcome of the pigmented area. After that, you may experience something called "milk skin", a term used to describe an opaque, milky appearance to the pigment causing the brows to look very light in color. This is due to your body's natural response to heal itself from the prodecure. on the skin. Those layers of epidermis will exfoliate over the next few weeks, and the desired color will return once fully healed.

Yes! A touch up session after 6 weeks is necessary as everyone heals differently and outcomes will vary.

Certain areas may not pick up during first session and will need to be refilled. Pigment color may need to be adjusted, brow thickness and more strokes-more pigmentation can be added.

Most importantly, your touch up session is when we refine your brows to ensure it looks perfect and retains the color for the whole year!

Micropigmentation typically lasts about 2-4 years, depending on skin type, age and lifestyle. Each individual's color retention within the skin will vary. To maintain the brows looking fresh, a touch up is suggested every 12-24 months. Clients can let the pigmented area fade over time, but please note a slight shadow may remain.

• The amount of sun exposure The sun will soften the look of your tattoo. Use sunblock (once healed) to prolong your enhancement.

• The regeneration of skin cells The longer the regeneration takes, the longer the pigment holds.

• The speed at which the skin absorbs the pigment The slower the absorption, the longer the pigment will hold.

• The choice of color Some colors fade quicker than others (ex. a blonde color will fade quicker than a dark brown color).

• The area of treatment Some parts of the face fade quicker due to constant exposure.

• Bleeding during the procedure Any bleeding during the tattooing procedure will reduce the amount of pigment absorption. Alcohol and certain medications act as blood-thinners. Do not use them before or right after your appointment.
